Loan Forgiveness after 10yrs on ICR

Has anyone ever successfully completed 10 years on the ICR repayment plan and had their remaining loan balances forgiven? If so can you explain what the process was like? Thanks

I was told 10 just last week by my servicer who is MOHELA. I'm not sure if the loan origination date has anything to do with it but I've had these loans for a long time. Both Fed sub/unsub that were consolidated back in 2004.

Just to clarify I called them again and was told that the 10 years was for public service loan forgiveness which I don't qualify for.

No.  At this time no one will have qualified for the 10 year forgiveness.  The program became effective in 2007.  The first individuals to qualify will be in 2017.
