Congratulations!
Congratulations!
I make my last payment on 2/15/2014. I have seen several people mention that calling your lender can help expedite the whole transition process to getting your records cleared up. One individual had the negative lines deleted a couple days after rehab was completed.
Congrats! I made my last rehab payment to Texas Guaranteed the same day you did. A week or so before I made the payment I called to find out what would happen next and they said that my loan would be picked up by a new lender at the end of the month and it would tak 30-45 days to update my credit report.
I called TG this past Monday just to make sure they got my payment, and lo and behold my loan had already been assigned to a new lender, Nelnet. She congratulated me and gave me Nelnet's contact information, and said my credit reports would be updated at the end of the month. Afterwards, I called Nelnet and spoke to someone who helped me get set up online and we worked out my payment plan.
I'm so glad I did this, everyone I have dealt at both TG and Nelnet with has been so kind and helpful. I wish I had known about the rehab program a long time ago. Now just to wait and see if my score goes up once the new reporting hits!

Congrats to you too! I wish i knew about the rehab program a long time ago too. I am hoping to see atleast 40 points on each of my reports. I just wish we good get this over with faster lol.
Congrats!! Im actually in the process of contacting my agency to put my defaulted loan into rehab. What kind of amount could I expect for a defaulted loan of $4500??
Any tips??
The amount you will have to pay will depend on your income and your monthly bills. I am currently in the 4th month of rehab for roughly $15k and I pay $180 per month.
Mine should be around 350.00 a month when I finish in Feb of 2014.
