Well… my good will letter didn’t work. I kindly asked the college to delete lates dated back to 2005, they said no, they need to report accurate information. Ok fine. I assume these will fall off my credit report in 2012, after the 7 yr mark?
The other issue I wrote to them was to get “collection” taken off my credit report because the loan is not in collections, it was closed due to consolidation. Transunion is the only agency reporting it as collection, EQ and EX both report is correctly as paid, closed.
The college is now telling me they use a 3rd party and I have to dispute this directly with Transunion and the 3rd party.
Wow… I don’t know how you folks do it. The error in reporting isn’t even my fault yet I’ve got to chase people around now to fix this…..
