Need Info About Direct Loan Service - Delete Lates

Does any one know if Direct Loan Servicing, (for federal studen loans), is a govermnet agency.  Or is Direct Loan Servicing a private company.

DLS is a Federal outfit and no, they will not delete late reports.

Barris - Thanks for the response.; I know they will not delete lates. However, they are reporting lates when the account was in deferment. I have shown them the deferment documents, but they still refuse to delete.

I was considering other action.
