I have four accounts with Nelnet that should be up for early exclusion from my credit file. I called experian today and they told me that it is not eligible for early exclusion because I made a payment in 2011 to bring it current then it went deliquent again. My problem is, the very next month (3/11) it says that the account is 90 days past due. How is that possible if they are reporting that I brought the account current? I am so confused
Have you tried contacting Nelnet and asking for a payment history for the account? It's a long time ago, but if they admit it was incorrect, you could dispute the information or ask them to correct it.
