Here is my $0.02 worth. I am having the exact same problem. I had 2 Sallie Mae in default and that was all that showed on my report. About 14 months ago I entered into rehabilitation and got the loans out of default. Now my CR shows 4 loans, 2 good, 2 bad. I am convinced they updated the CR with my new loan status but never took the old ones off. Like you, my bad ones now have a 0 balance. I need to find out how to get rid of them I also have 4 loans from Direct loan which did the exact same thing, they multiplied from 4 to 8, 4 good 4 bad. I think there is a trend going on here.
