Paid off interest on one loan...

[ Edited ]

Feels good!  After reading some threads on here I decided to pay off the accrued interest on one of my SL's (all are still in deferrment as I"m still attending).  Now I can use it on my taxes AND it's less debt outstanding :-)

So this is what financial responsibility feels like haha...

Very nice.

How can/will your payments on interest be used on your taxes?

Re: Paid off interest on one loan...

student loan interest paid can be tax deductible if certain criteria is met.

Just google some variation of student loan interest/taxes etc and you'll find links to the IRS site about it.  :-)
