I had cosisned with my son financing for student loans totalling about $19k.. After that loan was unpaid for 90 days, i finally took over the loans in my name and began automatic payments in October 2009.
By then the damage was done, and my credit suffered because of it. What steps can i take in additon to making the monthly payments to minimize the future effects of those earlier non payment. BTW, the loan is from SLFA
I d appreciate any comments and suggestions you can provide.
