Long story short: I went into default on my student loans, went thru rehababilitation to get them out of default and they were taken back on by Sallie Mae. I just checked my report after months of not having done so and both SM and Dept Ed are reporting that I owe. I tried to call US Dept just a moment ago and got some automation telling me the systems are down. Is it normal for them to still be reporting even after SM picked my loans back up after rehab? Any ideas for the course of action I need to take to get them to show its been handed back to the OC?
