Just some FYI for everyone....  I filled out the form for the Ombudsman on Monday.  Got a call on Wednesday for their office..answered a few questions.  The lady said she didn't think she would be able to get them to remove anything but she would give it a try.  Well I just got off the phone with her again and they are going to remove all of the derogatory remarks from my credit reports.

This is how it was reporting before.  This span is from Oct 2011 to Feb 2012

Oct: 90

Nov: 120

Dec: 120

Jan: 180

Feb: 180

So to all...it is definitely worth a shot

I filled out the form just earlier also. Have some lates from 2007-2010 that would be nice to get cleaned up. Hopefully their office will get back to me in the next couple days to let me know. Thanks for the great info!

paulbrapp. Question, have you paid your loans off/still paying/rehabbing? I'm currently rehabbing my loans and I would like to get negs off of my CR but not sure when to attempt. I'm guessing after rehab is complete in July.

All of my lates have already been removed!

It is a consolidation loan...still in repayment

Did You do anything prior to contacting the  Ombudsman? I have 9- 90 days on my CR from 2010 when we were jobless and moving. I was not sure if GW letters would do any good, as I have read lots of unsuccessful stories. This post has me inspired though!

Voodoo... I had tried GW'ing them numerous times with no luck.  I even tried disputing them online hoping that might even work.  It is definitely worth a shot to go this route.  Good luck
