Sallie Mae torpedo when things are looking up!!

Sallie mae has been killing my wife for 7 years with the usual story. 4 missed payments of $100 spread out over 8 individual loans which equals 8    30,60,90,120,late payments on her reports. The last set of 8 late payments fell off finally this month. We thought she would bask in the glow of those 8 20 year old loans finally paying dividends with no negative payments reporting and helping her AAofA go past 18 years. Instead they dropped all 8 loans off of her report! Instead of a 18 year AAofA she's now down to 8.

Anyways does anyone know if calling them can get the trade lines restored on her reports? Any advice would be appreciated.

The best recourse in situations like these is also the most frustrating.  You have to call Sallie Mae.  No fun.  Make sure you plan to be on the phone for quite a while, and have all the information, account number, and ID verification ready with you when you call to make the time go faster.  Since their office is the one who pulled the credit report listings, they will have to be the ones to put them back on.  Some more advice on making your credit look better with student loan situations can be found on this site.  Good luck to you!
