Seeking help on how to reboot my credit score from Great Lakes Late Payment

New to forum. Long story short was never educated about credit until late in my life, never really understood consequences and the negative effects it would have on my life (family). I've accepted failure on my part and now seeking a reboot to my financial score. I have late payment status on my CR. I've written a letter to submit to Great Lakes but not sure who @ Great Lakes to submit to. I've read that most have a direct person they've submitted letters to other than just the general customer service email. If anyone has any advice or a tip, would sure appreciate the great gesture of helping me out. PM please.

Thanks for reading.

Success!! In just a few business days GLHEC was gracious enough to remove my lates so I can better manage my credit score. Thanks for the tip bahbahd. As my wife and I are on a 4 month plan on buying our first house, I'm just not sure as to how long the reporting agencies will take on their part to make the adjustments.
