And why did they change ? It sounds worse IMHO, and right before fall off date. I got a SW for this but not a SW for dropping a collection with a score increase.. Amazing

If I recall correctly, you're in NY. I would call and speak to a supervisor at the credit agency and mention that the account has a $0 balance and is past the 5 year mark. I've had great success, even with student loans, with doing this myself.
