I'll try and keep long, dramatic story as simple as I can:
I've been working very **bleep** hard for the last couple of years on some student loan defaults; I've rehabbed some, and now I'm trying to consolidate.
1) I see that the ones I rehabbed are still showing as "paid after charge-off/collection." Is there any point in writing GW letters to have them taken off my CR? Or, am I fated to live with them until they fall off (7 years, right)?
2) I also still have 2 "in collections" right now -- I'm waiting to hear if the consolidation with Direct Loans goes through; if so, those will get rolled into it. Does anyone have any experience with how they will get reported once consolidation goes through? (I'm guessing another "paid after charge-off/collection," but just want to be sure).
