Hello everyone. I recently graduated college and have student loans to pay back. Looking at my CR, I have 5 loans on it from Firstmark services (one for each year in school, put in forebarance). I beleive I can't consolidate them. They are part of the MI LOAN Program. 2004 thru 2006 was 5.95 fixed rate. Then another part of my 2006 loan and 2007 loan is 6.95%.
I do have 2 other loans that are not from Firstmark. They are US Department of Education (2004) and a Key Loan in 2008. Can I consolidate these?
Also, wwould it be better for my score and lenders to consolidate the 2 accounts? These student loans are frustrating to have 7 of them on my CR when I could get a few.
