Student loan missed payments!

Can anyone help me out? 

A couple years ago I missed some payments on my student loan. I am trying to rebuild my credit and it shows those missed payments on my credit report. Since I am currently in school and there is a derferment on my loan until I am finished, the student loan company won't let me make a payment to take away the missed payments. Is there anythnig I can do ?

The late payments will fall off in 7 years.  You can also consider writing good will letters to them as well to see if they will remove the late payments.  Although student loan companies are usually very difficult to get them remove late payments.  Who is your SL backed by as others might be able to help out with this particular lender?
