I just graduated college and had loans with THECB called the Texas Be-On-Time Loan. Basically if you finish school on time within 4 years, the loan is elgible to be forgiven. I was wondering if anyone else had any experience on how the process was for them.
I don't know if you ever got your answer, but I just graduated and had my loans forgiven. I was on a search to see when they are removed from credit reports when I found this. The process was fairly simple. Graduate in the 4 years, fill out the forgiveness form, give it to your registrar, send in transcripts, then wait for their response. Process took about 5 weeks for me, because my registrar was backlogged. I hope this helps someone down the road.
If anyone has insight on when the forgiven loans might be reflected on my reports I would greatly appreciate it!
