UDoEd/Direct Loans is removing late payments from 2003!

After some inspiration here on this board about taking control of my credit, I called direct loans about my husbands late payments from 2003 - if I send them a letter of explanation via the mail they are going to delete them off his credit report!!

Hi ALS719, would you mind PM'ing me the address you used to send this GW.  I have some lates that I would like to removed as well.  Mine are from 2007.  I just wonder how much it would help my score by getting these removed.

Well it is almost 7 years....the late pays would have naturally dropped off anyways.
