Last year, I took online courses at a university. I paid out of pocket, have had no issues getting transcripts, and haven't received any contact other than my tax statement.
This week, I looked at my online account and it showed collections paid off for $350 in March. I thought that was odd since I'd never been contacted by the school or collections, and therefore never paid them. Thinking if I owed it I'd pay, I found there is no where to pay online since my balance is now $0. But my credit report is now showing a student loan in the amount of $350. Can any debt be reported as a loan, even though I never took one out?
