What is this Rehab program I hear of?

I read some where in one of the many post here that there is a rehab program you can ask to be entered into. I'm not sure of the circumstance or what the process is, but my DH husband needs this rehab! He missed an auto pay and never got back on track! Unitl about 3 weeks ago.. He took a 28 point hit, I want this fixed any info would be helpful!

You can rehabilitate a loan that has defaulted.  You have to make nine voluntary on-time payments, and then the loan with be picked up by a new servicer.  Your credit report will also have any negative marks that have posted since default removed.  https://studentaid.ed.gov/repay-loans/default/get-out
