Why the score increase?

I just got a 2 point score increase (Equifax score watch)  When I looked @ the reason it showed me Direct Loans but, there was nothing different about it.  It still showed in was in deferment and the amount owed didn't change nor the amount of months  I had to pay it back..So why the increase.

I was just wondering!  More points are always welcomed.

okstatefan5945,

Just checked the score alert and it has been 3 years since they had the account.  To the day!  Thanks for solving my 2 point mystery!

Re: Why the score increase?

No problem I have heard people say student loans in deferrment dont affect your score but I promise they do. My score changed the day it hit and changes when it ages so I always keep an eye on mine.

Re: Why the score increase?

Sometimes small changes in your score are dependent on how the score gods feel that day. I think it has something to do with which way the wind blows. As long as the trend is upward I try not to worry to much about it. :smileywink:
