how long does the ombudsman office usually take to respond? I got their first receipt email the day I sent the complaint, but nothing since then and it's been two weeks.

 I would give them at least 30 days. I got the email response right away but it took longer to actually hear from them. Hang in there.

Good - they agreed with me that the trade lines were reporting incorrectly, and requested a change from the CRA's. Getting all 3 CRA's to update's been a bit of a bear, though. A work in progress.
