FICO knows my goals and messing with me.
1 pt shy of 760 on EQ and 5 shy on EX. Maybe next month, been over a year journey.
April just may push me over the edge, have 4 inq all on same date of 15th that should age off- 2 on EQ, 1 on TU, 1 on EX from April 2017 apps. Plus those accounts will hit a year mark (should), hoping for the score bump. Already AZEO, will also be 1 year no app. Only thing else I can possibly do is paydown my AZEO a bit more, is under 8% aggregate, just not the individual. Paying on current doctors, specialists, scans over some medical problems, not real sure how much it will set me back, so I'm holding back for these and possible more bills to come.

EQ 743

EX 723
My goal for this month is to increase my scores so that they, at least, reach my highest scores (EQ 764, TU 760, EX 727).. Possible obstacles to this is that I'm carrying balances now (0% interest promos) and I opened a new AX ED card. Not sure how that will all impact my scores but, I'm hoping to make some moves to get score increases anyway.
Factors that may help: additional month of aging, carrying balance, keeping util under 20%, no app'g, and whatever other rabbits that I can pull out of a hat.
Also, working on building business credit. Hopefully that will allow me to stay away from personal credit activities.
Good luck to us all.
*long drawn out sigh*
Welp. I'm just going to blame it on March Madness. In addition to app'g Amex ED, I ended up getting a Walmart card and Paypal Extra MC. I guess I can justify the Paypal Extra for the 3% on restaurants but, good lord, I have no idea how I ended up app'g Walmart. I mean, I don't even like Walmart. And it's not a Walmart MC. It's just the plain ol' store card. *hangs head in shame*
So yeah. My AAoA takes a hit, I have added inqs and my scores drop, of course. So today I'm sitting at
EQ: 737
TU: 740
EX: 722
And, quite frankly, I still don't think the dust has settled. smh. I mean, it's not the end of the world but, I thought I'd post this update, like this, to teach myself a lesson. I really should have been more disciplined and stuck to my no app'g strategy at least until June. But instead, I threw it all away for nonsense. Ah well. Lesson learned. Butt kicked. Moving forward.

Hey ohjoy. You sound like you're a lot like me. Don't be too hard on yourself. I've been there, done that, and just earlier this month, but have nothing to show for it. Look on the bright side, you got two approvals. And if you really don't want the Walmart card, just don't activate, and call and cancel it before it opens. Hopefully that's possible.

I'm not new to app remorse and have learned that even if it's closed immediately without activating, I've already taken the new account and inq hits so, once I received it, I requested CLI from $1900 to $5000. May as well make the best of it and help my util, which isn't really needed but, hey. It's something. Tried to up the Paypal limit but they were all, "nah". Ah well. $3K it is. I'll take it. And to make myself feel better, I went through my Commenity cards and upped those limits with SP for a total of $2500 CLI increases to also go towards util.
Now to review my month and activities and update my strategy. *sips coffee* Good morning.

I just wanted to throw out options. I'm not new to app remorse either, lol! It is easier though when it's an approval and not a denial.

Went back and double dipped on the Commenity cards so, that's an additional $2500 making Commenity CLI $5K total. I'll take it.
I am in debt settlement program, and my credit scores have tanked as a result. I have 10 accounts, all of which equate to $34,000 in debt, in deliquency because the program instructed me not to pay for them. As of now, I have settled 1 of the 10 accounts, which feels great.
I have 5 active accounts, all of which are paid in full, but they are all store cards and are not helping my score enough. My credit scores are roughly 470, which is embarassing.
Thankfully, though, I applied for 3 secured cards—from Capital One Bank, Merrick Bank, and Green Dot Bank—and was approved for all of them. I also applied for the Horizon Gold Card (it's a fee-laden card, but they provide generous credit line increases). Additionally, I have applied for the Surge Mastercard (for temporary use), and I am waiting for the bank to approve or reject me.
My goal is to finish my 3-year debt settlement plan and to start using my new cards responsbility so as to raise my scores to the 650s.
