Re: Take the myFICO Fitness Challenge 2015

Hello!

I am looking forward to working through this year to increase my score and overall better manage credit.  This has been a rough year for that and my score has taken a sizable hit.  I am planning on reaching my goal by year end in addition to better managing my available credit and utlization.

Re: Take the myFICO Fitness Challenge 2015

Welcome all to the FICO 2015 Challenge! While I am a long time board member I joined the FICO Challenge 2014 in November. Started working on it back to May 2014 but formalized it later. My resolution is to seriously remain in the garden so inquiries will fall of my report and likely I will close six credit cards and reduce about $30K in credit limits as it seems my DTI is subject to review. The other matter is my inability to keep all of my credit accounts active. Finally my spend pattern has a path and now I know what I really need. Time to put the house in order Smiley Happy

I am new to this and I am trying to raise my score to purchase a home. I bought a truck in 2014 and have made every payment on time which has helped raise my score. I have a few credit cards Barclays (5000) and Cap One (1500.) I have a 8 paid, closed collections that I am waiting to fall off.

Re: Take the myFICO Fitness Challenge 2015

New to the Forum.

Had some health issues 6 years ago and an old Verizon phone bill that won't age off until November 2015.  My goal is to purchase a new house in the next year, so I would like to get my score up to at least 720.  Would also like to qualify for a prime card (more of an ego thing).  Current score is 665, so I need 55 more points in the next year.  Don't plan on applying for anymore cards this year.  Got 5 in the last 6 months, so I will not apply anymore.  Was turned down for Citi based on Verizon bill, so I won't worry about any prime cards, either.   Been lurking around the forum for the last few months, before joining.

Im hoping I can reach at least a higher score than I have right now. Because even though I dont have much history or a lot on my creit it still shows a bad score. I want to improve thatSmiley Happy

Re: Take the myFICO Fitness Challenge 2015

I made my TU goal today Smiley Very Happy My early exclusion got taken care of so I now have 2 clean reports. EX told me on Friday I could get my last baddy removed in February, so my fingers are crossed for 3 clean reports after I request early exclusion on Monday Feb 2. I guess it can be done. Smiley LOL

I've got some cards, got my house and got some scores with a 7 in front. Now what? Oh yea, live some of that life stuff.
