Thanks,
I had to create another profile. For some reason, I can't log in to the other. I'm so new to this, can you tell me how to add the fitness challenge logo?

I fixed it for you.
Hi Everyone,
I've been reading this forum for only about a week now, but I've already learned so much. I wanted to thank everyone for sharing experiences.
With that said, a little about my credit situation...
Back in my 20's (1990's), I had fantastic credit (several cards, mortgage, car loan...all in great standing). Then, divorce happened. I had gone back to school and was not making a lot of money on my own, so my part of what came to me in the divorce ended up going into BK in 2001. That year marked a new beginning for me, with a new job and better income. I spent the next 5 years rebuilding my credit. Just when I was starting to "get there," my life unravelled again. Long story short - I quit my great paying job and moved back home to be with my Mother. I don't regret it...it had to be done. However, I was out of work when the recession hit 2007/2008 and it took me until 2010 to find a job at all (not even close to my old income). During that time, I had no health insurance and no way to pay bills on those student loans, and new credit cards. Fortunately, I did have my retirement fund and used it to pay off my car loan.
Fast forward to today:
I have (on average across the 3 CRAs) 17 delinquent accounts (although 4 on each CR are for the student loan that has already been rehabbed);
I have about 9 collections (1 that is paid and 1 that is reporting twice on all CRs for some reason);
I have several COs that aren't in collections and I plan on attacking those before they are
Bottom line, I let my life spiral for too long and now I'm sitting with a TU score of 491 (is that the lowest on the planet? I think it has to be) ugh! I'm not sure of my EX, but my EQ is 550. I don't see a lot of difference on the reports between TU and EQ so not sure why the big discrepency in scores.
I'm so happy to have found the information and guidance here. I'm devoting 2012 to fixing my credit for life. I know it will take a long time and a lot of baby steps, so here I go...
my first 'baddie" just dropped. A 24.00 collection/charge off from 2006 from Verizon. I guess I kept a router or something. I just jumped 4 points each to 699 Fico. soooo close...
wow sounds like my story. Hang in there. These forums are very helpful.
Thanks ronniejr. I'm a fighter so I'll get there. I agree, also..this forum is extremely helpful! Without it, I wouldn't have even known why rehabbed student loan was reporting the way it was on my CRs.
Oh, and congrats on the drop off!
Lois5669, The journey begins now...You can do this and Good luck!
Just an update..
I applied for a new car loan through my CU this week and was approved!! Yay!! I asked them what my EX FICO score was and they told me 691!! So this meant that it must have been higher when I was approved for my Amex Green and BCE just two weeks ago.
Things are getting better already. Working on Credit Util for now!!

I took the FICO FITNESS CHALLENGE last year with a goal of 700 on my EQ, but didn't make it!
My goal last year and continuing into 2012 is to bring my CC balances way down.
In June 2011 I was at 53% of my available balances.
January 2012, I'm at 40% of my available balances.
December 2012, I plan to be between 10-25% of my available balances.
It would be very cool if I could hit below 10% but we will see.
I think I can, I think I can...NO, I KNOW I CAN!
Update
On Feb. 7th, I paid a nice chunk on my CC debt. Once it posts@the end of this month, It should be@31% of my available balances. YES!!!
I know that I'm going to make my goal! Yay!
$500,000 in student loans, 28 defaulted, Willam D Ford Consolidation, horrible credit, rebuilding my life after 12 years in school.
