@Anonymous wrote:Haha - well another downside on this is that, there's a huge possibility you get AA or CLD because of so many inquiries... I have read quite a few of those. I said hey I got all these offers and I like all the rewards that I can get so I signed up for all of it... bad thing is that, some of these creditors lied because even though they said I was pre-approved... they denied me after seeing my inquiries" anyway, long story short, I gave them a pretty good details of why I have these so many inquiries, at the end of my "RECON" SYNCH still says "Hell No, you ain't getting another one of our card" hehehe... so I'm left with 3 of their cards...the rep also said that it's better if I try to cool off because any other apps they get will be automatically declined with no possible parole! hahaha lol I meant Recon
@mc08816
So out of the 97 applications done within the 2 month period, how many accounts did you get approved?
I agree with the other poster....this is an outstanding question.
I think we can use his info and disect it. Looking forward to the answer.
I hope he has not totally abandoned the thread and we never know the answer...why did no one think to ask earlier?

Hi there! it's a "SHE" but no worries!
So out of 97 please keep in mind that Chase are responsible for 14 of these... I applied with Chase to start off with Amazon Chase and approved for $500 and I tried to recon, but Recon has to be another 2x pull but denied, told me try again 1 month. One month later, I tried again, 2x pull again Denied Again, Recon, 1x Recon approved for Freedom Unlimited - 3 days later, rescind. Called and was told fraudulent application and to try again... another one then 2x and was denied, recon 2x again Denied. so So far that was 11 and just recently tried for CSR and 2 pulled and 1 more recon = 14 total just for Chase and only got a lousy 1 - $500 Amazon.

These total to 102 but I have a couple that's like 2 years old
The first week I got 7 approvals out of 10.
The next month when my inquiries creep up to 20 each I was approved for another 4.
The rest I was approved for 4 more when my inquiries hit 25+/30+
I got total of 17 approvals of which 2 were Personal loans, 2 CLOC, 13 Credit cards (1 secured)
Once it hit 30+ I get auto decline everywhere else...
mco7816....Thank You for posting this, it is understandably a little confusing. The good thing is all these will have no effect after 1yr, and fall off after 2yr. It definately answered the questions I had about what would likely happen if I did the ultimate app spree. It appears it would result in my high score remaining, but a lot of rejections after the first 10 or so. I know I feel much less stress about my 5 inqueries now. It takes a measure of courage to have posted this! You have my respect for doing so.

I am getting to be super nerdy with these boards and I found this post really interesting and I was clicking through the pages really hoping the 'tester' had responded lol
I actually created this thread after my score did not take a dive after 5 hp's. I really expected a big dip, 1 score actually went up. That made me wonder what would have happened if I had 100 hp's in 1 day. I never expected to actually learn anything, which I did, just really expected some fun discussions. It appears more lenders pull equifax. It appears also that extreme app spree will not totally destroy score, but expect declines and possible AA. This was a fun discussion in any case.
@Mco7816,
Thanks for the detailed explanation. Would you have kept all the cards you applied for if you had been approved?

There was another thread where OP is actually trying to obtain 100 cc from 100 different credit unions. He/she does not seem to be getting too far yet though. I question wheather such a feat is even possible.....now as to why he/she is doing that, I have no idea, perhaps it is his Mt. Everest.

@Anonymous. I remember that thread with user @Jiggurlo09 or whatever his username was. That goal never came to fruition.
