Can you list more info?

What are your MyFICO scores? The change?

What other CC do you have? Limits? Age?

Any lates or baddies in your file?

Re: 25 point increases with TU and EX, 6 point drop with EQ

Ex 697, TU 680, Eq now 631 after the 6 pt drop, the other scores are post 25 pt increase.
I also have SDFCU secored, 3 months old 500 limit, zero balance.
Safe FCU one month old, 5000, $70 balance. When this card reported, I received a 25 pt boost from TU and EX, and a 6 pt drop with Eq.

Mid Carolina FCU 2500, 300 balance, will have that under 10% by next billing.

I have one 30 day late, over a year old.
I also have 5 medical collections.
I am working on a pfd for those. 2 are auto accident related, so the CA said they would delete when paid, and I am paying them off tomorrow.
I paid one last week, and received an alert saying it was due to a collection being updated, showing paid.
Only one collection is showing on TU and EX.

Those are all the baddies.
I just don't get the drop from Eq when a revolving account was added.

Re: 25 point increases with TU and EX, 6 point drop with EQ

I don't know that there is a specific answer. You've now got a number of decent cards reporting on your file, so stick with those and let them age to help your file. As you know and are actively working, getting the baddies cleaned up is the best thing you can do. All the scores will improve with the resolution of the negatives. EQ also, eventually.

FICO scoring is a marathon, so just be patient. Except with the negatives, you can hustle to get those taken care of Smiley Happy

Good luck!

Re: 25 point increases with TU and EX, 6 point drop with EQ

Thanks nrb. I got some great news today on my baddies. The local CA told me a couple months ago they didn't do pfr. Something told me to call the headquarters, so I did last week. I spoke with a supervisor, and he gave me his direct number and email. He told me he would agree to pfd 4 collections. I paid them today, and he gave me a confirmation number.

I asked him if he could send me an email stating he agreed to remove, and he said he would send a receipt, but the email wouldn't be necessary, since I could speak to him directly at any time.

He said they should be off my report in the next couple weeks. I'll keep you updated as to what the change does to my score.
