+32 Points When Old CA Dropped

An old CA account finally dropped from EX today so I pulled my score. Up 32 points from Jan, no other changes. This was an old CA, dropped due to CRTP.

Re: +32 Points When Old CA Dropped

my experian went up 15 points and equifax went up 33 when an old collection fell off.  I still have 4 more accounts to come off next month and 3 collection accounts in June.  Maybe I will be in the 700 club by christmas afterall!

My average increase (self and DW) was nearly 50 points!
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Re: +32 Points When Old CA Dropped

This isn't exactly the same as a collection falling off from old age, but DH has a 2002 medical collection on EQ and TU, but not on EX. His EQ is 709, his TU is 710, and last I checked, his EX (no collection) was 792. 80+ points, and that's the only difference among the reports.

The insurance company has mailed the check, so we'll see how it plays out from here.
* Credit is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master. * Who's the boss --you or your credit?
FICO's: EQ 781 - TU 793 - EX 779 (from PSECU) - Done credit hunting; having fun with credit gardening. - EQ 590 on 5/14/2007

I'm curious to see how this changes your scores. I'm sure you'll post about it after it hits.

Super congrats Anderson and granny! WTG!

A collection is imo, a fatal baddie, and getting them removed is a major accomplishment.

Re: +32 Points When Old CA Dropped

MV, I remember your post about that so I was very curious to see my results.

I believe it was back in Oct my TU first hit 700, I was ecstatic! Now all 3 are 700+. Wonder what EX would be if the PR was gone.

edit-
Ex jumped +32 for a CA delete.
Still have a derog mtg accnt, a PR, and an old CO remaining on EX.
Will be interesting to see what happens when these all are purged this year.
