From personal experience the answer is, yes it would increase your fico score. By how much is something that cannot be answered until you pull a new report. But the optimum utilization percentage is below 9% on a credit card trade line. If you have multiple revolving accounts payoff everything to a zero balance except leave a small balance on one credit card. Let's say you have three credit cards. Pay two of them to a zero balance and the third one leave a $ 5 balance and here is why. The credit score risk codes will ding you more on your fico score when you have a balance on two or more cards.
