Thanks bulbisaur and ByrdMan for your helpful suggestions and prompt replies. I will definitely use the money to pay my BofA CC. I will leave the recommended 1% balance ($105) on that CC for reporting purposes. All of my other CCs have a $0 balance. I will also continue to make my student loan payments ontime. Thanks, again, for all of your help.

Bulbisaur, of course you will pay less interest if you make extra principal payments. That's true for open-ended loans (revolving), as well as closed-ended loans (installment). I was speaking purely from the standpoint of the way interest is calculated on the two types of loans (simple interest -- open-ended vs. compound interest -- closed-ended). Smiley Happy
