My father-in-law said they pulled his FICO the other day and it was 829. I was floored by this. I thought it was almost impossible to break 800. He said he never carries a balance on any card and has never had a late payment on anything in his life. He also pays off all loans way ahead of schedule.

And that my friends, is how you break 800.
I just had my last baddie fall off a day ago and my score is now 810 and 804 on 2 of them. So, breaking 800 can definitely be done.

Very nice... Congrats!
2 months away and I'll be there!....
My baddies are all 3 or more years old, but they still seem to be holding me down. That and my utilization being 45%.
It takes years but yes it can be done
805 right here
It gripes me how when they list things that could improve my score one of them is my length of credit history. Then they say that the average person with a really high score has a credit history that is longer than I have been an adult. So in other words it sounds like I am getting knocked down simply because I am in my 30s.
