Yikes.  Just tried my geek hat on – it still fits!!!  This undoubtedly has something to do with spending the morning in the dentist chair……..

Myfico 2/09/09 EQ report has the following on the positive side of my scale:

You have a long account history.

Oldest Account: 27y 7m     AAofA: 10 y

Myfico 2/25/09 EQ report has the following on the negative side of my scale:

You have a short account history.

Oldest Account: 27y 7m     AAofA: 10 y

The difference?  I opened one new account.  The AA of my open accounts dropped from 5.11 years on 2/9/09 to 3.9 years on 2/25/09.  (Yeah – I spent fifteen minutes and did the math - it was bugging me.)  My oldest account and my AAofA continue to reside in the realm of High Achievers, but my “Short Account History” maintains residence on the dark side of the scale.  I assume it will stay there until the AA of my open accounts hits that certain magic FICO spot – maybe it's at 4 or 5 years?  They are evidently tracking it.

Maybe that was a bucket thing. Here's what mine says:

That report had AAoA of 5 years and Age of 12 years, 2 months.
