Are there three FICO scores? Really?

I understand that there are three different scores for the three credit bureaus. And I *thought* there was also a separate 4th FICO score. But when I came on the FICO website, it appears there is actually a FICO score from each bureau? So that makes 6 scores in all?

Really? Which one(s) are important?

Also, how different are the FICO scores from the scores directly from the bureaus?

Thanks,

Velma

Welcome to the forums !!

I'd suggest that you take a look at these threads on credit scoring, they should hopefully answer most of your questions:

Thanks. It appears that there really are a ton of different credit scores out there. Geez! How confusing!
