I have reached the point where I need to start to trim down the number of cards I currently carry.
My first target is to combine my Venture card ($59 AF) into my no fee QS (1.5% CB no AF). The Venture is now over 6 months and eligible for consolidation into the QS (it is an old trade line so plan to keep it running).
Should I combine and close the accounts now (at the 7 month mark) or is there any benefit to waiting to close the card (say at the 1 year mark)?
