CPR FOR MY FICO

HELLO,

HELP!  THIS IS MY FIRST VISIT AND I NEED SOUND ADVICE ON HOW TO GET MY FICO BACK ON TRACK.  LONG STORY,  IN 2002 MY FICO WAS 825:smileyhappy:  WELL I HAD A FINANCIAL CATASTROPHE AND HAD TO FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY IN 2003:smileysad:  SINCE THEN IT'S BEEN A ROUGH FINANCIAL ROAD AND MY HUSBAND IS A SPENDER!!!  HE OPENED UP 8 DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS AND MAXED OUT EVERYONE.  (FROM $500 BALANCES TO THE LARGEST OF $2100)  NOW IT GETS EVEN BETTER, HE DIDN'T PAY THEM ON TIME AND WE HAVE A LOT OF LATE/OVERLIMIT CHARGES.  IT'S SO BAD THAT SOME OF OUR CARDS WENT INTO UNIVERSAL DEFAULT AND THE APR WENT FROM 2% TO 30.96%!!!  I WISH I HAD FINANCIAL RESOURCES TO PAY OFF OR DOWN, BUT WE DON'T.  SO WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND.  MY CURRENT FICO IS 412:smileymad:
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Yikes you are in a bind.  Are all the cards in his name or are they joint accounts?  You just filed BK in 02 and that is never a road you want to take.  You may be able to negotiate repyment with the crediotrs with the understanding the accounts will be closed. But at this point its hard to say.
