Can't explain this score drop

My experian score went from 681 to 659 ove 2 days with the only change on my reports was that utilization went from 2% to 1% (I studied them side by side) I can't imagine this caused the score to drop but I can't find any other changes. I'm usually pretty quick on figuring out what is causing my issues but this one is blowing my mind.

Re: Can't explain this score drop

What are all the changes reported in EX over the last month? What were your EX scores 1 month and 2 months ago?

Are there any baddies anywhere ever in your file? 30 days late or anything of the kind?

Re: Can't explain this score drop

The only changes in the last month are my utilization went from around 9% to under 1%. I have several charge offs from a few years ago and  a couple of collections nothing has updated in months though. I also have one account that has a 22 month old 30 day late.

Ok, Charge offs, there's at least two, correct? and collections, there's two more there, and another 30 day late.

I'm guessing, based on some other discussions in this forum, that you "rebucketed" in the aging of your negatives. The utilization may be a factor, but I'd have to guess only a very minor one.

That or try reporting 9% again.

I've never found a sweet spot personally but some people swear by it.  Usually there's something else going on in the score movements but hey my file is by definition individual to me.

There you go OP, take utilization back to 9%, let us know what happens.
