Can you ask a creditor to report mid-month?

II might be significantly paying down and paying off some accounts. I was wondering if you can ask a creditor to report mid-month instead of waiting until after the statement closes? Would like to get those new balances reported sooner to bump up my scores and then make some rounds for CLIs.

Thanks!

Yes, you can ask for a mid-cycle update.  Not all of them will do it.  Never hurts to ask.

Wow, this is an awesome question.....the very same thing I've been pondering for days now. I have an installment I'm paying off in a few days, and I would love for them to report early it's paid off....

I agree you can ask, however be aware that many CSR don't know what this is, or even how to request it, so depending on the creditor it may not be easily achieved.

The one that I'm thinking about is Target.
