Co-signing Question - Help

My FICO scores are 750+ and my fiancee's score is 700+

We just bought 2 homes ($500,000 & $480,000+) We cosigned for the mortgages. Now my concern...well not a concern but more of a question is ...I know that cosigning will affect our credit histories and scores but does anyone know if just the mortgage part is shared (the part we cosigned) or our entire credit histories will be linked? I mean will the mortage payments be the only things affecting our scores or payments on the cards etc will also affect our credit scores(note that the cards are NOT cosigned)

Thanks for all your help. This is a great resource to share information and get advice Smiley Happy

Re: Co-signing Question - Help

Welcome to the forum.  Your credit histories are not linked.  Only the accounts you cosign or the credit cards you are AU on are in common on your CR.

I do not know if when you cosign for somthing if it shows up on your CR right away.  AU does.
