Collections - big vs. small

If I have several collections items, is it the quantity of the collections accounts or the value of the collections accounts that drives down my scores harder?  I could afford to pay (with PFD) several smaller ones ($10-$79) before doing the two larger ones ($300-$400).  Is it better to drive down the total dollar amount or the total number of collections items for the biggest "jump"?

A collection is a collection. PFD on the small ones first if you have to!

Pay for delete. How much do you typically have to pay these bloodsuckers for a PFD? Just curious as I don't have any thankfully.
