Confused...Score goes down when a CC balance goes to 1$ from 0$

My score went from 757 to 749 when I used my lowes card for a 1 dollar purchase?

Alert: The balance on one of your accounts has increased
Score Watch alert/Changes to your FICO® Score
Your FICO® score decreased to 749 on October 21, 2009.
Previously reported $0 Newly reported $1 Account balance: $1

Has anyone ran into this before? about a month ago my score went up when I used a dormant account, and this lowes account I put a dollar on  was also dormant.

Thanks

Often the possible "reasons" given for a score change aren't the true reason(s) your score changed. They are only potential reasons.

I once received an alert where my score went up by one point. The "reason" given was that I had a recent inquiry.

Well...no...an inquiry would cost me points, not give me a point. You often have to take myFICO's explanations with a grain of salt. Is it possible there were any other changes?

Welcome to the forums.

FICO scores are constantly changing. It's not worth worrying about a few points either way. By your score it looks like you are doing just fine!!!
