Credit Building for People On Disability

Hi Everyone. I have a question. Is it realistic to say that a person who is on

disability can establish credit over time even though they are not working?

Or does a merchant look at the person's past credit history to decide if the

person is credit worthy? Thanks for your input.

Re: Credit Building for People On Disability

Must be possible because Ive been disabled since 2001 and didnt start seriously trying to rebuild my credit until about 4 years ago.

All I have on my reports thats negative is a paid tax lien that somehow made its way back onto my Equifax report (currenly being disputed).

I had HORRIBLE credit in 2001 and just using credit cards Ive managed to build my score up a lot the last couple years even being disabled.

Re: Credit Building for People On Disability

Very welcome.

As a gauge of where you can get on disability my citibank card has a $10,000 limit.
