Unfortunately you aren't understanding the way that alerts work, which is a very common misunderstanding on this forum. You aren't alone. In the above example, you got an alert for paying your Chase card, not that you got an 8 point increase for paying it. Any time you get an alert, you'll get a new score to go along with it, but that new score very often has absolutely nothing to do with the alert you received.
