Does anyone know how long it takes the credit reporting agencies to update thier information? One of the collection agencies I have been dealing with sent me the paperwork where they deleted the account and sent it to the 3 major credit reporting agencies as of today (10/14/09). I am curious on how long it will take for the agencies to reflect this information and when I should pull my credit report/scores to see how I am coming along with my credit score.
This new debt also just got posted to my credit reports this month which, please correct me if I am wrong, caused my credit score to drop. Will paying this off and getting it deleted from my credit reports help increase my score and if so, how much will it increase it?
