Credit limit clubs 10K 50K 100K 250K 500K - Do they affect your score?

I can't find the post but I remember seeing someone mention they had reached the 500K club which put them in a different bucket? a while back and that they were expecting a score boost.

Besides the obvious util% advantge, is there any reason one should expect a score bump for larger total credit limits? Are there tiers that, once achieved, score positively?

Your so called club level doesn't effect your score.  If you have low util at any "club level" you will be fine.

Yet, being in the 250k+ club could limit approvals because of excess credit based on income.  Also, CLs can be reduced for little or inactivity with some lenders.

The more important thing is if you are getting the credit card rewards you like and not have rewards spread all over the place.

Outside of what you've already stated. There aren't any score bumps or tiers for the amount of TCLs.

AKA: You don't need to have a large CL. Utility is controled by when you pay.

AKA: Better to have low to moderate CL's as compared to pushing the limit.

The more important thing is if you are getting the credit card rewards you like and not have rewards spread all over the place.

AKA:  Use a few good cards as compared to having to many.

I think the terms sugar daddy or sugar momma might be more fitting. Smiley Tongue
