You can dispute but I would call the creditor and ask them to remove it. Not sure if the score is impacted but creditors do take note of this. I was refinancing a vehicle and due to a late payment and the comment of cant locate the consumer was initially turned down. I called the creditor and had it removed. Not cool at all. You must make sure you talk to someone in the company that has the ability to remove these items!!
