Decrease in Equifax FICO score

I have noticed that whenever there is a balance decrease on my Dell account my Equifax FICO score drops by a point or two because there has been a decrease of my account balance and my outstanding balance has dropped by 25%. This happens every time I pay the bill. I believe Dell has the accounts through WebBank or some such. Anyone else experience this reverse in logic?

Re: Decrease in Equifax FICO score

I had an alert today that my Chase card increased $186,  ( total due ),  and my EQ dropped 6 points.  Goes to show you that you can't out guess them.

Re: Decrease in Equifax FICO score

My score drops whenever there's a big change in the balance due . Even though the utilization is under 9% .
