Delete negatives even if they provide longest history?

[ Edited ]
Should I delete negative items on my credit reports that are over 7 years old even if they provide me with a longer credit history?  I have 3 from 1999 - all of which were included in my bankruptcy in 2003 and are reporting that way.  My credit reports currently say I have 15 accounts - but I really only have 5 active now since the bankruptcy.  Would it make a difference in my score to have the older negatives deleted?

yes. I would personally try and get any negative information deleted because it always lowers your score. Your credit history may shorten but hey, at least it will be good credit history that remains.

I would definitely go with contesting the negative information.
