Following Hurricane Katrina, my personal business outlook was bleak. I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy under the advice of an attorney with the understanding that if business returned, I could file for a "dismissal" of bankruptcy and all would return to normal.
This was not the case. Even though I resumed all of my debt with the dismissal, my creditors had closed all of my accounts and my Fico score was drastically affected.
Financially today, I'm an excellent risk however my score reflects otherwise.
What can be done?
