EX up, EQ down - same balance/util

I find it so interesting that when my NFCU goRewards card reported a balance today (around 10% util) my Experian FICO 8 score went up 7 points, and my Equifax FICO 8 score went down 9 points, as alerted by the MyFICO Android app.

Next 3B Premier should be available tomorrow so I'm curious to see what, if any, report differences may have contributed to this behavior.

Have you seen this before?

Well, yes.  There's some differences potentially in how the three bureaus under FICO 8 handle number of cards with balances but it's never been nailed down certainly here anyway, and for all I know it's just some wonky thing in the monitoring solution though I find that a bit suspect.

I guess needs to be tested if possible since we have 2 threads running on basically the same possible issue as of today, but something is weird.

Starting Score: EQ 5 561, TU 98 567, EX 2 599 (12/30/11)
Current Score: EQ 5 771, TU 4 758, EX 2 758, EQ 8 795, TU 8 762, EX 8 786 (7/28/17)
Goal Score:    EQ 5 750, TU 4 750, EX 2 750, EQ 8 800, TU 8 Blah, EX 8 800 (01/01/18)

In my totally unscientific and based-on-a-personal-experience only opinion, EX seems to like you to use your cards and TU and EQ do not. I saw a 22 point jump in EX when a higher balance posted. I know it could be any number of mysterious algorithms based on sun spots and the wild naked mole rat population, but as I said, unscientific Smiley Happy

Hmmm. I'm going to watch that, then. I expect my scores, based on past experience, to update somewhere around June 8 - 12, so that's when my new Overstock card should be added. I put a $115 purchase on it over the weekend, and right now am awaiting the welcome letter/package from Comenity so that I can get the full account #, set up online account and first payment, etc. I expect the impact of $4,000 extra revolving credit and slash in overall utilization to offset whatever dings happen from the change to AAoA and whatever spend has been on my cards this past month, but we'll see.

Ch 7 BK discharged 12/14, well along in rebuilding credit. FICO 11/2/17:TU 660/EX 694/EQ 688 FICO 8 (Aug 2017) or 680 FICO 9 (Penfed Sep 2017), VS 3.0 11/7/17: TU 704/EX 690/EQ 697. $32.3K revolving credit as of 11/7/17; $951 Cap One secured Platinum MC, $2000 Apple FCU Platinum Visa,$3500 Amazon Prime Store Card, $3500 Walmart Store Card, $3500 Cap One Quicksilver MC, $3600 Discover It, $4000 Care Credit, $4300 Overstock Store Card, $7000 Penfed Power Cash Rewards Visa, $10k PenFed used car loan, $5k Navient student loan. In the garden again from 10/26/17 for at least the next 3 months unless I get a really really good preapproval.
