I am almost to closing on 1st mortgage and am interested in seeing what effect it will have on scores.
Just applied for a Re-Fi on my Mortgage and they sent me all three "True FICO's"
Interesting to me is they use the "Middle Score", even though the three CRA's use different scales.
From their full report:
Your Credit Score
Score: 797 Source: Equifax Date: 11/27/2012
Score: 788 Source: Experian Date: 11/27/2012 <--- Used as your Middle Score
Score: 784 Source: TransUnion Date: 11/27/2012
The range of scores
Equifax
Scores range from a low of 300 to a high of 850
Experian
Scores range from a low of 375 to a high of 900
TransUnion
Scores range from a low of 395 to a high of 848
That is funny, Ready13. Glad you 'explained.'
I was about to ask "what planet are you from"? Or, "who asked you about the price of apples"?

Congratulations! 825 is about the highest score I've seen on this forum

I was very surprised when the LO read the scores to me. I knew what EQ was and had an idea of TU.
I wonder what will happen when the mortgage is reported.
Nois--You will hear the silent voice on the elevator saying, "Going down." Congratulations on your scores and your new house. Stay the course.
My first EX score on MyFico was 825. But, since then, I've purchased a house and a long-arm quilting machine. I'm afraid to check it again.
"oldest account: FICO High Achievers opened their oldest account 19 years ago, on average.
average account age: Most FICO High Achievers have an average age of accounts between 6 and 12 years.
oldest revolving account: FICO High Achievers opened their first revolving account 19 years ago, on average. "
:0 whew! 19 yrs ago I was just a wee lass. I'm closing in on the 760 mark though oldest account is 7 years old
Haven't been on this category for awhile. Because of being competitive with myself, my scores have always been above 760, I think, ever since I've been monitoring. TU, seemingly for no good reason, usually scores below the other two (EX & EQ). The only TU 'negative' says I have too many credit cards. But, FICO says cancelling them does not affect one's score much. I have a mortgage and one outstanding revolving card, but I have never been late on anything.
Go figure. It seems that TU just lowers my score to keep me on my toes. Very annoying.
